Select from the main menu on the top page to launch the KANOI TCG game in your browser.
After selecting Casual Mode, you will be taken to the deck selection screen. Please select the deck you wish to use for this match.
Once you've selected your deck, the matchmaking process with an opponent will begin.
Deck: This is where your deck is placed. You can draw cards as long as your deck doesn't reach zero.
End Your Turn: When you want to finish your turn, click this button to end your turn and pass to your opponent's turn.
Battlefield: The field where monsters and artifacts are placed. You can place up to a maximum of 5 cards.
Hand: This is your hand of cards. You start with 5 cards and can draw one card from your deck each turn. Hovering the cursor over a card in your hand allows you to view the details of the card's abilities.
Master Skill: This is the unique skill possessed by each Master. It can be used once per turn.
HP(Master): This represents the Master's HP. The player who reduces the enemy Master's HP to 0 first wins the match.
Mana: This is mana. Mana starts at 3 and increases by 1 each turn. The player going second receives a card in their initial hand that increases mana by 1. Mana is consumed to summon or use cards, or to activate abilities.
Menu: When you want to give up and abandon the match, you can interrupt the battle from this menu. If you interrupt the match, it will count as your defeat.
Summoning Monsters or Artifacts: Drag and drop a card from your hand to any desired location on the battlefield.
Attacking opponent's Yokai or artifacts: During your turn, drag and drop your Yokai from the battlefield onto the target monster. When attacking an enemy Yokai, be aware that your attacking monster will receive reflected damage equal to the opponent's attack power.
Attacking the opponent's Master: During your turn, drag and drop your Yokai from the battlefield onto the opponent's hand area.
Using Yokai Abilities: There are broadly two types of abilities - those that activate automatically when certain conditions are met, such as upon summoning, when attacking, when being attacked, or when destroyed; and those that you activate manually. For the former, abilities are automatically activated when conditions are met, and if target selection is required, a target selection screen will be displayed. For the latter, during your turn, you can activate an ability by long-pressing on a monster with the ability you wish to activate on the battlefield.
Using Spells: For spell cards that require selecting a target, you can activate the spell by dragging and dropping it from your hand onto the card on the battlefield that you want to target. For spell cards that don't require selecting a target, you can activate the spell by dragging and dropping it onto the battlefield.
Using Secrets: Drag and drop a Secret card from your hand to the battlefield to set it. An icon appears next to your Master Skill, indicating a set Secret. It activates during your opponent's turn when they meet the Secret's specific conditions.
Using Equipment: Drag and drop an Equipment card from your hand onto a Yokai on the battlefield to equip it. An icon appears atop the Yokai card to show equipped items. Each Yokai can have only one Equipment. If a Yokai is destroyed, its Equipment is also lost.
Using Master Skills: You can activate a Master Skill by clicking the Master Skill icon. If target selection is required, a target selection screen will be displayed.
